What it covers
CERN INTC letter of intent INTC-I-182: precision Q-values of ¹⁵⁹Dy and ¹⁷⁵Hf during Long Shutdown 2, two electron-capture pairs picked as possible neutrino-mass candidates.
Methods and setup
Off-line release from pre-irradiated tantalum targets and PI-ICR at ISOLTRAP, chosen because both nuclides are long-lived and surface-ionize well.
Why it matters
These two pairs were already in INTC-P-410. The INTC denied those shifts until PI-ICR was under control. Without that commissioning the committee would not have allowed these follow-up measurements to start. The letter exists because that demonstration was then in hand.
